Importing Factory Patches
Power on, and connect the MIDI IN of the U-220 to your PC
Open Bome SendSX and select the correct MIDI OUT to send SysEX data
Open the U-220 factory patches SysEx file in Bome SendSX and click SEND
The screen on the U-220 will read “Receiving SysEx Data” until the transfer is complete
Exporting Patches
Power on, and connect the MIDI OUT of the U-220 to your PC
Open Bome SendSX and select the correct MIDI IN to receive SysEx data
On the U-220 press DATA
CURSOR to “BULK” and press ENTER
Use the CURSOR to select “ALL”
Press ENTER
After the U-220 has finished sending the data, click “File” and “Save MIDI In As…” on Bome SendSX to save the new SysEx file

Battery Replacement
The U-220 uses a CR2032 Lithium Battery
To remove the battery, gently lift up the black tab on the battery holder and push the battery out
Removing the battery will erase all factory and custom patches. The U-220 will be unusable after battery replacement until a backup, or the factory patches are restored via SysEX.
Battery Test
Enter TEST MODE by pressing JUMP + VALUE UP simultaneously to enter ROM Play Mode
While holding MARK + JUMP, press ENTER and the ROM version is displayed
Hold down JUMP and press DATA and the the BATTERY CHECK screen will appear
If the battery voltage displayed is in the range from 2.8V to 3.5V, the battery is OK
To exit TEST MODE, while holding MARK + JUMP, press EXIT
