Holding both buttons on the Gotek while powering on your device will display the firmware number.
Navigating on the Gotek
To select a disk image, navigate to the correct image using the two buttons.
The left button scrolls through the digits in the middle column, and the right button scrolls through digits in the right column.
Pressing both buttons at once scrolls through numbers in the left column.
Disks 00-99 must be accessed at b00-b99.
Loading Files From the Gotek
Disk images are first loaded onto the Gotek’s RAM and are then available on your device.
After selecting your desired image, insert your USB drive.
After the two dots disappear, press the right button to load the disk image.
After d0 disappears and your selected image shows again, remove the USB drive.
The disk image is now accessible on your device.
Saving Files to the Gotek
Select the image you want to save to on the Gotek, even if it does not exist yet.
Perform a save operation on the device.
Insert your USB drive.
After the 2 dots disappear, press the left button to save the disk image.
After d2 disappears and your selected image shows again, remove the USB drive.
The disk image is now ready on your USB drive.
Creating a Blank Disk Image
Select the disk image you would like to create on the Gotek.
Insert your USB drive.
After the two dots disappear, press the left button to save the blank image.
After d2 disappears and your selected image shows again, remove the USB drive.
A blank disk image is now ready on your USB drive.
Booting OS
Hold Arrow Left (<) while powering on the machine to enable to keypad.
If you are using a Gotek floppy drive, first load the OS to the drive by selecting the correct disk image. Insert your USB drive and press the right button to load the disk image. After d0 disappears, remove the USB drive. Power off and power on the S-330 to load the OS.
Sampler
Loading the Sampler
Press the MODE button
Select UTIL and press the EXECUTE button
Press the MENU button
Select Sampling and press the EXECUTE button
Sampler Settings
Use the DEC and INC buttons to adjust values
Frequency adjusts bit-depth
Time adjusts the length of the sample
Origin Key places the original sample on the selected MIDI key
Threshold sets the threshold volume for the sample to start recording
Remaining Time displays how much time is left in RAM
Recording a Sample
Press the COMMAND button
Select Auto and press the EXECUTE button
The S-330 will begin recording when the threshold is met and stop at the selected time
Trimming the Sample
Press the MODE button
Select UTIL and press the EXECUTE button
Select Truncate and press EXECUTE
Save Files to Disk
Press the MODE button
Select DISK and press the EXECUTE button
Select Format to format the disk for the S-330
Press MODE
Select Save and press the EXECUTE button
Select Save Set and press the EXECUTE button
